Shopping Centers and Hotels

The length of stay for customers in shopping centres and hotels depend upon their purpose of visit. The customer’s length of visit determines the EV charging requirements. The charging stations available in the car parks for shopping centres and hotels need to meet the parking behaviour of customers. 

ChargeStar recommends a mix of AC and DC charging stations in the car park to cover a wide range of EV charging requirement. Availability of both AC and DC charging stations reduces the risk of DC EV charging bay being occupied by the long stay customers.  It would not be an ideal situation where a fully charged Electric vehicle occupies a charging bay for multiple hours, and short-stay customers do not get to use charging stations.
The mix of AC and DC station ensures effective and efficient use of charging stations and parking bays.
