Spontaneous charging? No problem!

Ad-hoc charging allows every EV driver to use public charging stations spontaneously via direct payment access (also known as ad hoc access) and pay immediately.
With charge.direct, our direct payment solution, you make charging for spontaneous customers easy, while fulfilling the requirements of the Measurement and Instrumentation Directive II.
Without prior registration or contractual commitment spontaneous customers can access your charging station directly. This generates additional sales and increases the appeal of your charging infrastructure.

What it requires? Just a smartphone. With charge.direct, you enable charging and payment via web-based system. Whether by credit card, PayPal or Apple Pay: the spontaneous charger chooses the preferred payment method, enters the required data and starts the charging process. An app download is not required for this. And since security is one of our top priorities, we guarantee BaFin-compliant processing with charge.direct.

Did you know?

According to the Charging Station Ordinance (LSV), operators of publicly accessible charging points are obliged to enable users of electric vehicles to charge selectively or even “ad hoc charging”. By providing ad-hoc access, all e-mobilists should be provided with barrier-free and easy access to public charging stations. More information can be found in § 4 of the LSV.

Scanning

All you need to charge without prior registration is a smartphone that can scan a QR code on the charging station or read an NFC chip. Thanks to innovative gel filling technology, our corresponding 3D stickers are tamper-proof and weather-resistant. And if, for example, the QR code scanner of the mobile phone were not to work, a short internet address found on the sticker can be used to log in.

Charging

Once the QR code has been successfully scanned, the mobile website of the ad-hoc access opens in the smartphone’s browser. The website is of course adapted to your company’s corporate design and incorporates your logo.
On the website, spontaneous customers are now able to view both charging point and current tariff information, select the desired payment method and enter their contact details. The charging process can then be started and paid conveniently and securely via the selected payment service provider.

Paying

Administration and billing of spontaneous customers are just as easy as with contract customers. chargecloud automatically generates the invoices and even sends them to the customer by e-mail if desired. Billing is, of course, fully compliant with calibration law. The usual pricing flexibility of chargecloud also applies to the direct payment service charge.direct: flat rates can also be determined according to time- and consumption-based calculations. This means that separate rates are possible for direct payment access.
